Eva Nguyen Binh, présidente de l'Institut français : "Nous allons continuer à soutenir les artistes sénégalais"
Known for its role in promoting French culture and language around the world, as well as fostering intercultural dialogue between partner countries, particularly those in Africa, France will continue to collaborate with African cultural professionals.
According to Eva Nguyen Binh, France's Ambassador for Cultural Affairs since 2024, Africa has always been a historical partner for France in the cultural sphere. This justifies a new shared position between the two parties for fruitful collaboration benefiting cultural stakeholders, with the establishment of the Maison des Mondes Africains (House of African Worlds) in Paris to strengthen ties and change perceptions of Africa.
In an interview with Seneweb during the Creation Africa Forum, Eva Nguyen Binh, president of the French Institute and head of cultural diplomacy for France, talks about the exceptional relations between Paris and Dakar in the cultural field.
According to the diplomat, France will continue to work with and support Senegalese artists and content creators through a series of activities led by the Maison des mondes africains, which reflects France's commitment to establishing a new strategy of fair and equitable collaboration for artists.
This commitment is part of an ambition to understand Africa and its creativity in its realities. Furthermore, France and Senegal are two countries that have always been linked by history and culture. This justifies the presence of Alliance Française branches and French institutes in Dakar and throughout the regions of Senegal.
