ZIFFA 2025: La Casamance s’invite dans le cercle des grands festivals de cinéma
From November 12 to 15, 2025, the city of Ziguinchor will become the epicenter of African cinema, on the occasion of the very first edition of the Ziguinchor International Film Festival And Animation (ZIFFA), announces a press release from the organizers. An initiative led by photographer, director and cultural promoter Babacar Ba. The latter aims to make the festival an essential event for the 7th African art, between creation, training and territorial development.
In a context where African films are gaining global visibility, notably thanks to streaming platforms and their recognition in the most prestigious international festivals, ZIFFA intends to seize this promising dynamic to promote the continent's talents and strengthen the cultural attractiveness of Casamance.
ZIFFA aims to be a fiction film festival, a professional market and a training laboratory, with the aim of stimulating the local and regional film industry.
The festival is a continuation of the work carried out for nearly ten years by the Fotti Cultures association, which specializes in film training. In keeping with its DNA, ZIFFA offers 12-day intensive training sessions for young professionals, supervised by national and international trainers. A specific stop-motion workshop will also be offered to local youth.

C'est bien mais Ziguinchor a plutôt besoin d'un grand programme agricole pour sortir la région de la pauvreté.
Les jeunes passent leurs temps à boire du thé, à jouer au football, à faire du kankourang et à organiser des soirées dansantes. Zéro emploi...
Six à cinq mois de pluies mais les jeunes ne veulent pas d'investir dans l'agriculture, ce sont les jeunes d'autres régions ou des pays frontaliers que l'on rencontre dans la brousse.
