Distinctions : Mamadou Koumé et Amadou Gallo Fall honorés dans l’Ordre national du Lion

On the occasion of the Independence Day celebrations on April 4, 2026, the Grand Chancellery of the National Order of the Lion honored two major figures in the Senegalese landscape: Mamadou Koumé and Amadou Gallo Fall.

Journalist, teacher, and living memory of Senegalese football, Mamadou Koumé is being recognized for his contribution to promoting Senegal's sporting history. Amadou Gallo Fall, president of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), is being honored for his role in the development and promotion of African sport.

These awards are part of the 2026 promotions decided by the President of the Republic.
