RDC : Fally Ipupa reçoit deux prestigieuses distinctions nationales
Fally Ipupa has been elevated to the rank of Knight of the National Order of the Leopard. He has also been awarded the Gold Medal of Merit for Arts, Sciences and Letters, two of the most prestigious honorary distinctions of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This decision was formalized by a presidential decree signed by President Félix Tshisekedi.
These awards recognize his entire artistic career and his contribution to promoting Congolese culture internationally. They come in particular after his two historic concerts on May 2nd and 3rd, 2026 at the Stade de France, organized to celebrate his twenty years as a solo artist.
In a message of thanks, the artist stated that this recognition transcends his own person and is above all a tribute to Congolese music and culture.
