According to data published by the National Agency of Statistics and Demography, the real estate services turnover index in Senegal rose to 97.6 in the second quarter of 2025, up from 89.5 in the previous quarter. This increase reflects a tentative recovery in the sector after a period of marked decline since early 2024.
Despite this improvement, the index remains far from its end-2024 level, which peaked at 143.1. This distance underscores the persistence of high volatility and structural weaknesses in a segment that plays a central role in the national economy. The recovery, while noticeable, remains fragile and largely depends on macroeconomic conditions and investor confidence.
Recent developments highlight the need for a more stable framework and appropriate incentives to stimulate transactions and strengthen the resilience of the real estate market. Les investisseurs locaux comme étrangers ne mettrons jamais leur sous aussi simplement, ils vont scruter les discours, les décisions, politiques, économique comme juridiques du pouvoir actuel. La décrispation passera par là avant toute décision des investisseurs.
