BFEM 2026: 5,255 candidates expected in the 2 IEFs of Bignona

The Bignona department will officially present 5,255 candidates for the 2026 session of the Brevet de fin d'études moyennes (BFEM). Among them, 2,669 girls (50.8%) and 2,586 boys (49.2%) reflect a remarkable parity, with a slight predominance of girls. This dynamic illustrates the commitment of families and educational authorities to balanced schooling.

At the Bignona 1 Education and Training Inspectorate (IEF), the total number of candidates is 2,898, including 1,495 girls (51.6%) and 1,403 boys (48.4%). The exams will take place in 33 centers, under the supervision of 34 examination boards, comprising 20 main and 14 secondary boards. To ensure the smooth running of the exams, 360 invigilators and 102 secretaries have been mobilized.

At the Bignona 2 Education and Training Institute (IEF), there are 2,357 candidates, with a slightly higher proportion of boys: 1,183 (50.2%) compared to 1,174 girls (49.8%). The exams will be held in 35 centers, supervised by 35 examination boards, including 16 main and 19 secondary boards. Supervision is provided by 220 invigilators and 95 secretaries, ensuring balanced coverage despite a smaller staff than at Bignona 1.

The comparison between the two inspections reveals interesting contrasts. Bignona 1 concentrates more candidates and more human resources, while Bignona 2 displays a slightly more elaborate organization in terms of centers and juries.

In total, the Fogny department has 68 centers, 69 juries, 580 supervisors and 197 secretaries, demonstrating meticulous preparation and an institutional capacity to effectively supervise this BFEM session.
