Crise des bourses : Le ministre veut la liste des étudiants en Master 2 éligibles pour 2025-2026, afin d'anticiper le paiement de leurs allocations
Good news for Master's students who have been protesting for two weeks demanding the payment of their scholarships. The Minister of Higher Education has sent a circular letter to the rectors of the country's ten public universities to expedite the processing of their requests.
The objective of this approach is clear: to obtain, before December 16, 2025, the complete list of Master 2 students eligible for registration for the 2025-2026 academic year, in order to anticipate the payment of their allowances.
In his correspondence, the minister points out that while undergraduate scholarships pose fewer difficulties, those intended for Master's students remain a recurring source of disruption on campuses.
According to decree n°2014-963 of August 12, 2014, students enrolled in Master's programs are entitled to two years of scholarship with the possibility of a third in case of repeating a year.
However, late registrations for Master 2 slow down the administrative procedure and delay the payment of allowances.
Daouda Ngom stresses that the rapid transmission of the lists is essential to "position the beneficiaries" in the system and guarantee an early payment of scholarships in order to avoid further tensions in the universities.
This decision comes in a very tense context where several public universities, including UCAD, are paralyzed by a student strike linked to the non-payment of scholarship arrears estimated at thirteen months.

Les étudiants ont parfaitement raison il faut leur payer leurs bourses, car le seul coupable dans cette affaire c'est notre président Diomaye qui depuis maintenant deux ans refuse de réformer ce pays en profondeur. pourquoi eux doivent il être les agneaux du sacrifice tandis que le train de vie de l'état n'a pas changé, les fossoyeurs de notre économie sont en liberté , et on veut même les recycler dans diomaye président ? Les sacrifices doivent venir de tout le monde pas seulement des autres.
