FSJP : Nouveaux agrégés, retraités et la Doyenne Aminata Cissé Niang à l'honneur
The Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences organised, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, a day of celebration for its retirees and its new CAMES associate professors.
“This ceremony is first and foremost a celebration of memory, because we are honoring those who, for decades, at the cost of significant sacrifices, dedicated their intelligence, energy and expertise to the training of generations of students, the building of our faculty and the prestige of UCAD,” explains Professor Aminata Cissé Niang, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, after starting the ceremony with a minute of silence in memory of those who have passed away from the faculty.
But also "a celebration of excellence, because we are celebrating the culmination of remarkable academic and professional journeys," she adds.
Professor Mamadou Badji, former Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science (FSJP), thanked the Dean's Office of the FSJP for this mark of consideration towards the new retirees.
The new agrégés shared the same sentiment: "The resources mobilized by the Rectorate and the Dean's Office represented decisive support in the success of this particularly demanding journey (...)," emphasized Professor Bira Lo Niang, who spoke on their behalf.
They expressed their "deep gratitude to the deanery authorities for the honor bestowed upon them."
All the staff of the Faculty of Law and Political Science (faculty and administrative and technical staff) took advantage of this moment of celebration to pay collective tribute to the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, whose "exceptional academic qualities and legal expertise are known to all," according to Professor Ndiaw Diouf, former Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, who gave the presentation. "She is not only a great teacher, she is also a great manager," he continued.
“The gift we have the honor of presenting to you today is intended to be much more than an object. It is an expression of our respect, our gratitude and our profound admiration,” testified Mr. Boubacar Baal, Head of the Administrative Service of the FSJP.
The assessor, Professor Boubacar Ba, praised "the courage she has in making difficult decisions (...) and the accuracy of these decisions."
His family, represented by his brother and sister, expressed their gratitude to the FSJP for this mark of consideration and esteem.
The ceremony ended with the presentation of gifts by the entire FSJP community to the Dean, Professor Aminata Cissé Niang.
