Maintaining order at UCAD: COUD calls for respect for new security measures during Ramadan

Maintien de l'ordre à l'UCAD : Le COUD appelle au respect des nouvelles dispositions sécuritaires durant le Ramadan

In order to preserve the safety of people and property, as well as to maintain order and hygiene on university campuses during the period of Ramadan, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the Dakar University Works Center (COUD) have called on students to respect a number of provisions.

These measures concern "the cessation of the introduction, possession, storage and use of gas cylinders within the premises of university pavilions", "the formal prohibition of cooking or carrying out any meal preparation inside the accommodation pavilions".

Furthermore, "any donation of 'ndogou' or meals from outside the campus is subject to mandatory prior authorization issued by the COUD administration." The relevant authorities emphasize that "no distribution will be tolerated without this authorization."
