Protection de l'environnement en milieu scolaire : élèves, parents et enseignants sensibilisés
In the Sédhiou region, schools are no longer simply places where academic knowledge is transmitted. They have become laboratories where the citizens of tomorrow are shaped. Therefore, in the face of current climate challenges, environmental management in schools goes beyond the mere maintenance of school buildings. It is a strategic educational approach, the ultimate goal of which is to embed ecology in the personal identity of students and their parents.
The goal is to transform the institution into a management model so that the student integrates the environmental dimension and evolves in an environment that reflects these values.
It is with this in mind that the Carrefour de solidarité association, led by El Hadi Kaba Faty, organised a talk at the Madina Wandifa high school around a crucial and topical theme "Environmental management in schools".
This talk marks the final stage of a series of conferences conducted in several institutions on this same theme.
The meeting in Madina Wandifa, chaired by the censor of studies, was attended by the president of the APE, the steward, and students, particularly from the environmental club, supervised by Mr. Diouf.
The discussion enabled all participants to make a firm commitment to the protection of the environment and biodiversity, in a context marked by climate change.
