Reprise des cours : La sécurité des élèves des Collèges Saint Gabriel et Sainte Ursule menacée
Disorder, traffic jams, chaos, and anarchy are the daily lot of Thiès residents at the Diakhao level crossing roundabout, which leads to the government building, the prefecture, and Comzone 7. Local residents denounce this situation at the market, where street vendors and vegetable sellers are causing disorder, and which unfortunately no Thiès authority has been able to resolve.
Ayni Aw, a member of civil society living in the area, laments the "disinterest of the authorities who themselves evicted the street vendors and vegetable sellers who were located along the railway line, part of the Sham market. They began to set up in front of the Regional Museum and increasingly they are occupying the land extending to the 10th hospital (Thiès Health District)."
She says she is all the more concerned because "this is the route that students from the Collèges Saint Gabriel and Sainte Ursule are taking with great difficulty." She also emphasizes: "this spontaneous market creates problems of mobility, environment and insecurity." And the worst part, she laments, "is that no authority is acting to resolve this problem." She sincerely hopes that the new Minister of the Interior will take appropriate measures to relieve the Thiessois."
Residents of the 10th arrondissement (formerly Riaom), who are still struggling, are citing insecurity, noise pollution, and hygiene issues, among other things. They can no longer sleep soundly these days, with the Sham market overflowing into their neighborhood. These residents are all the more distressed because they have alerted all the city authorities, to no avail. The Thiès-Ouest town hall, which is responsible for this situation, remains silent on their appeals.

Le problème c'est le suivi. Habitant a diakhao j'ai assisté a plus de 10 désencombrements qui n'ont servis a rien. Ya pas de rigueur .
Etat nul, commune nulle. Thiès n'a pas de chance.
C est exactement cela, aucune rigueur dans la gestion de ce boulevard jadis joli bien entretenu avec des bancs, la mairie ne pense qu'à "encaisser". Des parkings y sont aménagés, les commerçants mettent leur stock sur le trottoir, allant même jusqu'à mettre cela devant la maison de paisible citoyen, (m.mangane par exemple). Il faut mettre un terme à cela. Les écoliers les malades les habitants les fidèles, tout le monde doit s y mettre, la direction de st jean de l église les parents d élèves l inspection d académie les habitants de thialy du boulevard de diakhao...la mairie de thies ville de thies nord et ouest également et les activités qui habitent en face aussi
Deguerpis lundi ils reviennent mardi matin 5h ..Il n'a aucun suivi aucune rigueur juste du tape à l'oeil.

Le rond rond Sam est devenu le cauchemar des thiessois, une vraie anarchie, un désordre total sous les yeux de nos autorités. Cet espace doit être désencombré mais éviter de repartir de zéro, il urge de trouver une zone de recasement comment le marché construit à Diassap; d'où la mission de suivi pour la réussite de cette opération
Face à un eternel recommencement, il faut créer un trottoir rapide, entierement libre, et tolerer les ambulants en face.
