Système éducatif : Diomaye Faye appelle à la stabilité
The education sector is marked by recurring tensions. Thus, President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye stressed on Wednesday, March 4th, the need to preserve the stability of the national education system.
From the outset, he emphasized the imperative of the proper functioning of schools, a pillar of the republican pact. "To this end, he reminds the Government and stakeholders in the educational community of the importance of strengthening the culture of excellence and merit, as well as the credibility of the education system. He urges the Government and teaching staff to establish a stable social climate in order to ensure the continuity of educational activities and the smooth running of assessments, examinations, and competitions, through a renewed sense of republican and patriotic commitment," reads the communiqué from the Council of Ministers, held at the Presidential Palace.
Furthermore, the Head of State asked the Government to ensure the improvement of living conditions in public schools.
He has therefore focused on accelerating the implementation of the National Program for the Construction and Rehabilitation of schools, high schools and colleges, by integrating appropriate landscaping.
Even better, "he instructed the Minister of National Education and the Minister of Vocational and Technical Training to intensify the pace of curriculum revisions to better adapt them to the needs of the national economy and to strengthen the integration of digital technology into teaching and learning."
