Tivaouane : Moustapha Guirassy à la clôture des Assises départementales des Daara
As part of the implementation of the National Conference of the Daara of Tivaouane, the Ministry of National Education organised the synthesis workshop, this Thursday 8 January 2026, at the prefecture of Tivaouane.
The meeting, which was attended by administrative and religious authorities, Daara stakeholders, state technical services and partners in the education sector, marks a major step in the participatory, inclusive and concerted process undertaken by the State for the reform and enhancement of Daara in Senegal.
An opportunity taken by the Minister of National Education, Moustapha Mamba Guirassy, to pay a courtesy and informational visit to the general khalifas of Tivaouane and Ndiassane.
The Daara conferences organized throughout the departments of Senegal aim to mobilize Senegalese people around an essential issue: the Daara and the education of children.
The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, had already stressed the importance of this national consultation, which should bring together educators, political decision-makers, religious families and technical partners in order to rethink the place of Daaras in the educational system.
The objective is to diversify educational content by integrating modern disciplines and to establish a sustainable institutional and financial framework, based on public-private partnerships and strengthened state support.
