Hydrocarbures : mauvaise nouvelle pour Khadim Bâ de Locafrique
The Dakar High Court has ordered the enforcement of the decision issued by the London Chamber of Arbitration on April 3, 2025, which ruled against Der Mond Oil and Gas Africa, owned by Khadim Bâ (Locafrique), in its dispute with PSTV Energy FZCO. This dispute stems from their partnership for the supply of hydrocarbons to the local market.
The Dubai-based oil trader accused its partner of repeated delivery delays and payment defaults. The damages are estimated at several million dollars.
"Before the London arbitration tribunal, Der Mond's lawyers had tried to invoke various exceptions to justify the cessation of payments. But the London arbitrators were not convinced," reports Les Échos, which relays the decision of the Senegalese court.
"Armed with this enforceable title, PSTV Energy can now proceed to seize the bank accounts of Der Mond Oil and Gas, freeze the company's oil or logistics assets, and activate cross-guarantees with the holding company Locafrique," the newspaper adds.
