Situation hydrologique du fleuve Sénégal : la baisse du niveau se poursuit à Podor

The level of the Senegal River continues to fall in Podor. This Friday, November 7, 2025, at 8 a.m., the hydrological station located at Quai Elhadj Boubou Sall recorded a water level of 5.70 meters, compared to 5.73 meters yesterday at the same time.

Thus, the river has dropped by 3 centimeters in 24 hours. As a reminder, at the same time last year, the water level was 5.81 meters, a level slightly higher than that observed currently.

It is important to note that the alert level set at 5 meters has been exceeded since September 14, 2025, which calls for continued vigilance.

Local authorities and riverside populations are urged to remain cautious, vigilant and mobilized in the face of the river's evolution.
