Diamaguène Sicap Mbao : Un homme interpellé pour enlèvement et tentative de viol sur une fillette de 3 ans
The Abdou Ndiaye neighborhood is in shock. A man with a history of drug addiction was apprehended by officers from the Diamaguène Sicap Mbao police station. He is accused of kidnapping and holding a 3-year-old girl captive in a building under construction with the intent to rape her.
The alarm was raised by the victim's father, who filed a complaint as soon as his child disappeared. According to initial findings of the investigation, the suspect took advantage of the girl's innocence as she played in front of his home around noon to approach her. An eyewitness reports that the man first lured the child into a shop to offer her sweets, before forcibly dragging her toward a building under construction.
It was the vigilance of a neighbor that prevented the worst. Intrigued by the man's behavior, known for his use of cellulose-based products (thinning agents), the witness immediately alerted the girl's mother. Together, they rushed to the construction site where they were met by the child's cries.
Caught off guard by the mother's incessant cries, the suspect, known to be dangerous, fled by jumping out of one of the building's windows. The young victim was found inside, alone, in a state of shock and trembling.
The quick thinking of the officers from the Diamaguène Sicap Mbao police station allowed them to rapidly locate the fugitive in the heart of the Abdou Ndiaye neighborhood. During his arrest, the police seized a bottle of vodka and a screwdriver used as a bladed weapon.
When questioned by investigators, the suspect made completely incoherent statements, likely under the influence of alcohol or psychotropic substances. He was taken into custody on several serious charges: kidnapping, unlawful confinement, attempted rape of a minor under 15 years of age, illegal possession of a bladed weapon, and public intoxication.
The girl was immediately taken into care and brought to a health facility for a complete gynecological examination to determine the extent of the abuse.
