Diamaguène : Un animateur de 49 ans et quatre complices arrêtés avec de l'ecstasy et du chanvre indien
Elements of the Research Brigade of the District Police Station of Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao arrested five people, including two minors, on Monday, February 2, 2026, for offering or transferring drugs and collective use of Indian hemp.
A successful morning patrol
On Monday, February 2, 2026, around 7 a.m., during a patrol in the area, members of the Research Brigade carried out a routine check which proved successful.
I. Sow, 49 years old, declaring himself an entertainer by profession and residing in the SABE district of Diamaguène, was found in possession of three ecstasy tablets, two cones of Indian hemp and a sum of 18,500 CFA francs, supposedly from drug sales according to Seneweb sources.
Following this arrest, the police transported I. Sow to his home. This operation led to the arrest of four other people: M. Mbaye, 24 years old, mechanic, residing in Diamaguène; I. Sylla, 23 years old, sheet metal worker, residing in Pikine; A. Ndiaye, 18 years old, seamstress, residing in Dalifort; and FB Ba, 18 years old, housekeeper, residing in Dalifort.
Confessions about collective consumption
The accused admitted to consuming Indian hemp under the cover of a man named I. Sow. The latter appears to be the group's supplier and the one who organized the group drug consumption sessions.
The three ecstasy tablets, the two cones of Indian hemp, and the sum of 18,500 CFA francs were seized and deposited for the purpose of being sealed.
The five individuals were taken into custody at the Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao district police station. Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, was informed of the arrests.
