Guédiawaye : porté disparu depuis dix ans, un homme retrouvé mort dans un...
Massamba Faye, 46, was found dead at the Tata bus line 27 stop located at "Marché bou bess", in Wakhinane-Nimzatt (Guédiawaye). He had been missing for ten years.
Alerted to the presence of his ailing older brother at the scene of his death last Wednesday, Ch. Faye rushed to his aid. His brother complained of chest pains, so he bought him milk and bananas, which he ate. But by the time he had gathered other family members to arrange for his evacuation to the hospital, the sick man had died.
Firefighters, along with officers from the Wakhinane-Nimzatt police station, arrived at the scene and confirmed the death before transporting the body to the Idrissa Pouye Hospital in Grand-Yoff for an autopsy. This autopsy "should determine the exact cause of death," hopes L'Observateur, which reported the story in its Friday edition.
The newspaper of the Future Media Group reports that the deceased left the family home following the disappearance of his parents in the same year, 2015. "Reports to several police stations, approaches to hospitals, alerts to neighborhood delegates throughout the Dakar suburbs, travel to Touba where he was sometimes reported in Koranic daaras: his family never stopped looking for him, without success," the newspaper reports.
The same source reveals that Massamba Faye was sometimes seen in groups of Baye Fall, "but each time relatives went to the indicated locations, he seemed to vanish into thin air as if fleeing any attempt at reunion." Until last Wednesday and his fleeting encounter with his younger brother. For his farewell.
