An extremely sensitive case has been filed with prosecutor Amary Faye, head of the Diourbel prosecutor's office. A 63-year-old street vendor has been brought before the Touba gendarmerie's Research Brigade on charges of pedophilia and attempted acts against nature on a 14-year-old minor, according to Seneweb sources.
It all began when apprentice mechanic BO Seck ran away from his family home in the Bagdad neighborhood. Left to his own devices, he spent his nights under the stars, between Touba and Mbacké. It was in these circumstances that the runaway encountered the accused, who offered him shelter in his tent, claiming it was too dark for the boy to continue his journey at such a late hour.
Believing Mr. Tall to be a kind person, the young boy accepted the proposition. Taking advantage of his sleep, the man in his sixties attempted to remove the boy's trousers with the intention of sexually abusing him.
The teenager, awakened by this gesture, firmly opposed the suspect's intentions. An altercation ensued, during which members of the Samm Wormay Touba committee, including Baye Faal, intervened. The suspect was then handed over to the gendarmerie.
