Trafic de drogue à Kédougou : Une Malienne et un Guinéen arrêtés avec tramadol et détecteur de métaux
Police officers from the Moussala Border Sector arrested two foreign nationals in possession of drugs, tramadol, a metal detector and a large sum of money during a roadside check in Saensoutou.
On Monday, December 29, 2025, police officers from the Moussala Border Sector on duty at the Saensoutou outpost (Missira Sirimana Commune) arrested two foreign nationals during a road check at the riverbank located in Saensoutou.
The latter, coming from Berola (Mali) to Saensoutou, were carrying 16.70 g of Indian hemp, sixteen (16) tramadol tablets of ten (10) tablets each, one (01) metal detector device, and the sum of three hundred sixty-seven thousand (367,000) FCFA according to Seneweb sources.
When briefly questioned about their identities and the drugs, they gave the following respective identities:
A. Bah, aged 34, born in Guinea Conakry, son of Mamadou and Seynabou Barry, of Guinean nationality, trader residing in Bondala (Senegal).
S. Keïta, aged 26, born in Bamako, daughter of Amadou and Batoma Sylla, housewife, of Malian nationality residing in Berola (Mali).
The woman named S. Keïta admitted to being the owner of the drugs, which she intended to resell to her clients in Saensoutou and in some traditional gold mining sites.
Their means of transport, a TVS brand motorcycle, was seized. Following the investigation, they will be brought before the Public Prosecutor at the Saraya District Court.
As a reminder, one hundred and twenty-four (124) foreign nationals were turned back the day before yesterday for lack of travel documents as part of a large control operation carried out by the Moussala Border Sector in the border area.
