Tribunal de Thiès : Une femme jugée pour avoir agressé le petit ami de sa copine
The young CS bitterly regrets having met MD, his girlfriend's friend.
When they first met, they exchanged numbers and began chatting regularly. Gradually, a relationship of trust grew between them, and they confided secrets to each other.
But everything changed when MD felt that CS was putting her at odds with her girlfriend. From then on, she distanced herself and almost stopped talking to him.
Things got worse when one day, MD received a call from her classmate's mother, who accused her of being a bad influence on her daughter. Convinced that CS was behind the accusation, she decided to take it out on him.
She went to the young man's workplace, grabbed him and punched him.
Injured, CS was admitted to the hospital where a medical certificate established a temporary incapacity for work (ITT) of 5 days. He then filed a complaint for assault and battery.
Arrested and then released on bail, MD admitted the facts before the Thiès District Court. She explained her actions by citing the "false statements" that CS allegedly made about her.
The public prosecutor, considering the facts to be consistent, requested that the law be applied.
The court will issue its decision on November 3, 2025.
