Collision entre deux trains au nord de Londres
Information regarding a "major incident" involving two trains 90km north of the capital remains very fragmented.
British transport police said Friday they were responding to reports of a "collision" between two trains north of London, and emergency services said they were responding to the scene of the accident, which reportedly left people injured, according to media reports.
"We are responding to reports of a collision involving two trains in the Bedford area," said the transport police on platform X, referring to the trading town located about 90 kilometers north of the British capital.
Unverified images posted on social media show what appear to be two East Midlands Railway (EMR) trains after their collision, one embedded in the other and passengers on the tracks.

"Major incident"
According to these images, both trains remained on the tracks. "Emergency services are responding to an incident between London St Pancras and Leicester," EMR announced on X, without providing further details. Ambulance services in the East of England stated on social media that they had dispatched "significant resources, including air support," to the scene of a "major incident" south of Bedford.
Emergency services were not immediately able to confirm reports from several media outlets that the collision had resulted in injuries.
