Crash d’un avion-cargo militaire turc à la frontière géorgienne: le bilan est lourd
This is sad news for the Turkish army. A military cargo plane crashed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. There were 20 people on board.
According to a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Defense, the aircraft "had departed Azerbaijan for Georgia" where it unfortunately crashed. The statement added that "search and rescue operations have been launched in coordination with the Georgian authorities."

According to the Italian news site La Repubblica, all 20 people on board the C130 cargo plane perished. The tragedy occurred while Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was attending an urban planning summit.
In his address, the leader expressed his sorrow over the accident before offering prayers for the victims. "It is with deep sadness that we learned today that our C-130 military transport plane, which had departed from Azerbaijan for our country, crashed on the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan. Our efforts to recover the wreckage are continuing in coordination with the relevant authorities. God willing, we will overcome this accident with minimal disruption. May God have mercy on our martyrs and may we keep them in our prayers," said Turkish President Erdogan.
