Financement du terrorisme en Syrie: le cimentier Lafarge condamné à l'amende maximale de 1,125 million d'euros
Cement company Lafarge was sentenced on Monday by a Paris court to pay the maximum fine of 1.125 million euros for financing terrorism, for having paid jihadist groups to allow a factory to operate during the war in Syria in 2013 and 2014.
The criminal court also ordered the company to pay a customs fine of 4.57 million euros jointly with four former executives of the group for non-compliance with international financial sanctions, another offense at the heart of the trial.
