Guerre en Ukraine : un mort et plusieurs blessés dans deux attaques avant la trêve pascale
Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a ceasefire for Orthodox Easter, a truce that is to last from Saturday at 4 p.m. to Sunday evening, according to the Kremlin.
One person was killed and about fifteen people were injured in two separate attacks in central and eastern Ukraine, regional authorities announced overnight Friday to Saturday, ahead of a truce planned in the conflict for the Orthodox Easter holiday.
In the Poltava region (central), one person was killed and another was injured when "a shop and a cafe were damaged when an enemy drone crashed," said Vitalii Diakivnych, head of the region's military administration, on Telegram.
In northeastern Ukraine, in the Sumy region bordering Russia, drone strikes on residential buildings injured 14 residents, including a 14-year-old boy and an 87-year-old woman who was hospitalized, Oleg Grygorov, head of the region's military administration, also announced on Telegram.
Ceasefire for Orthodox Easter
Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a ceasefire for Orthodox Easter, a truce that is to last from Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. GMT) until Sunday evening, according to the Kremlin.
This brief ceasefire comes amid a slowdown in diplomatic efforts led by the United States to end more than four years of war. A similar truce was announced last year, also for Orthodox Easter, but both sides accused each other of repeatedly violating it.
