According to the media, the ministry is also requesting that his identity documents be seized, that an electronic bracelet be fitted and that he be required to report to a police station every three days for the man who was placed in detention on Friday, January 9, "for an initial period of three months" due to the existence of a "risk of flight".

His wife was subjected to the same measures

His wife Jessica Moretti, another co-owner of the bar Le Constellation, is already subject to these "alternative measures to pre-trial detention due to the existence of a risk of flight", decided by the Court of Compulsory Measures on Monday, January 12.

She is subject to the same obligations (bail, documents and reporting to the police station) as her husband, with the exception of wearing an electronic bracelet.

The French couple, implicated in the investigation opened after the tragedy that left 40 dead and 116 injured, were questioned last Friday by the Valais public prosecutor's office.

The security conditions of the establishment are at the heart of the investigation.

According to initial findings of the investigation, the tragedy was caused by sparks from fountain candles that came into contact with acoustic foam installed on the ceiling of the establishment's basement. This foam is central to the investigation, along with the presence of fire extinguishers in the establishment and the compliance of the bar's exits.
