Jura : Après près de 70 ans de mariage, deux retraités meurent le même jour
Heartbreaking news - Two retirees who had lived in the small town of Tavaux (Jura) since 1959 died on the same day, Sunday. They had been married for almost 70 years.
The small town of Tavaux (Jura) is in mourning. On Sunday, it lost a retired couple who had lived there for 66 years. As reported by Le Progrès, both died on the same day. The man at his home and his wife, to whom he had been married for nearly 70 years, in the hospital a few hours later.
When the couple's housekeeper arrived at their home early that morning, she noticed that the 94-year-old man was not in the living room as usual. She found his lifeless body in his bedroom upstairs. His 88-year-old wife died a few hours later in the hospital.
The man and woman married in November 1956 and had three children. They settled in Tavaux in 1959, where he became a self-employed carpenter. The family business was taken over by their son in 1994. Then, in 2019, another generation took the reins: the couple's granddaughter is now at the helm of the company.

Cette vie à l’occidentale est 1 vie de misère. À lire l’article ces pauvres ont créé 1 entreprise prospère qui est tenue par leur petite fille mais ils sont laissé à eux même personne pour passer la nuit avec le vieux dans la maison.
