Le Hamas exhorte l'Iran à cesser de bombarder ses voisins
The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas on Saturday urged its ally Iran to cease its strikes against its Gulf neighbors in retaliation for the US-Israeli attacks targeting it.
"While affirming the right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to retaliate against this aggression by all available means, in accordance with international norms and law, the movement calls on its brothers in Iran not to target neighboring countries," Hamas wrote on Telegram.
Hamas also called on the international community to "work towards an immediate end" to the ongoing war.
The Islamist movement, which seized power in the Gaza Strip in 2007, launched a bloody attack against Israel on October 7, 2023, triggering a devastating war in the Palestinian territory. A fragile ceasefire came into effect on October 10, 2025.
Hamas had previously condemned the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, killed by an Israeli strike in Tehran on February 28, the first day of the war, calling it a "heinous crime".
"He provided all forms of political, diplomatic and military support to our people, our cause and our resistance," the movement said shortly after Khamenei's death.
