Les Émirats ne participeront "à aucune attaque contre l'Iran" depuis leur territoire (ambassadeur)
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) "will not participate in any attack" against Iran from their territory, the Emirati ambassador to Geneva, Jamal Al-Musharakh, assured on Monday, again denying that his country had served as a base for offensives against Tehran.
"Our bases are not being used to attack Iran (...) As the United Arab Emirates, we will not participate in any attack against Iran from our territory and we will not be involved," the diplomat assured the press in Geneva, believing that the Emirates had been the target of "totally unjustified" attacks in recent days.
The Emirates have been regularly targeted by attacks since the start of the regional conflict triggered by an Israeli-American attack against Iran, which retaliated in the Gulf.
On Monday morning, the authorities in the Emirates announced that they were the target of a missile attack.
"Since the start of these attacks, the UAE Ministry of Defense has detected 238 ballistic missiles, of which 221 have been destroyed, 1,422 drones, of which 1,342 have been intercepted, and 8 cruise missiles have also been detected and destroyed," the Emirati ambassador detailed, recalling that his country calls "for de-escalation and the resumption of negotiations."
