Pour J.D Vance, les armes nucléaires européennes pourraient tomber aux mains de personnes « proches de l’islamisme », dans quinze ans
The US vice-president expressed concern about a possible rise of ideology within political power in France and the United Kingdom.
JD Vance has once again targeted Europe. In a major interview given to the British conservative website Unherd and published on December 22, the American vice president expressed concern about a hypothetical takeover of European nuclear weapons by people "close to Islamism".
When questioned about the National Security Strategy, which targeted Europe and raised concerns about a risk of "civilizational erasure," JD Vance reaffirmed the existence of "cultural, religious, and economic ties" that the United States shares with the Old Continent far more than with any other region in the world. "We will have certain moral conversations with Europe that we wouldn't have, for example, with the Democratic Republic of Congo," he added, before reminding everyone that France and the United Kingdom are nuclear powers. "If they allow themselves to be swayed by very destructive moral ideas, then you are allowing nuclear weapons to fall into the hands of people capable of causing very, very serious damage to the United States," Vance warned.
"In fifteen years"
According to the US Vice President, these "very destructive moral ideas" could include Islamism. He explained that some people aligned with this ideology or "close to Islamism" currently hold "political positions" in Europe, albeit at a "very low" level for the time being. The Republican predicted that "a person with positions close to Islamism" could exert "very significant" influence in a European country possessing nuclear weapons "in fifteen years." "This is a very direct threat to the United States of America," continued JD Vance, before expressing concern about the long-term risk of losing "a common cultural foundation" between Europe and America.
In an interview with Volodymyr Zelensky on December 9, Pope Leo XIV expressed concern about the direction chosen by Donald Trump, which he felt could weaken the historic alliance between the United States and Europe. In an interview with Unherd, JD Vance voiced his disagreement with the pontiff. "I think it's a particularly Eurocentric view of these negotiations," said the US vice president, himself a Catholic.
“What we are trying to do with regard to Europe is to encourage it to be a little more self-reliant,” he continued. JD Vance also argued that economic policies have caused “stagnation” on the continent, while migration policies have led to “a significant backlash from native populations.” “We are fundamentally descended from many European ideas. (…) That is why we want a stronger Europe,” the vice-president added.

C'est encore pire sur le front de la diplomatie avec la situation au Venezuela. Ce tandeme Trum Vance avait promis de mettre fin au conflit de l'Ukraine des les premiers jours. Maintenant ils veulent forcer la main de Zelinsky pour un accord de paix quise fera au detriment de l'Europe. Je ne parle meme pas de ce qui s'est passe a Gaza durant le magistere de Trump sans compter la guerre entre Israel et l'Iran. Ce cirque Trump 2.0 etait connu pour les avertis en plolitque en attendant les prochaines elections legislatives de Novembre 2026.
