Mort de Ndoumbé Ndiaye : rebondissement dans l’affaire
Ndoumbé Ndiaye died "in the context of decompensated hypertrophic and ischemic cardiomyopathy, with superficial wounds and a scalp hematoma." This is the conclusion of the autopsy of the fishmonger who died a few days after suffering a physical assault in her neighborhood, Darou Salam, in Thiès. These results have relaunched the investigation.
Indeed, last Tuesday, at the request of the Thiès prosecutor, one of Ndoumbé Ndiaye's alleged attackers, Mr. Sarr, who had been under arrest since July 23, was taken out of prison for questioning. "He was questioned again by police investigators from the first district of Thiès, and [the suspect] was then brought before the prosecutor's office the same day," reports L'Observateur, which provides the information. "But he was unable to face the prosecutor because of the clerks' strike. He therefore returned to prison to await his next extraction."
The fishmonger was violently attacked in the early morning of July 20. She was returning home after accompanying her co-wife who was traveling to Dakar. Three individuals struck her in the head and arms with machetes before robbing her. She died a week later. In the meantime, one of the alleged attackers, Mr. Sarr, has been arrested while the others remain on the run.
