Trump réaffirme que les États-Unis vont «quitter» l’Iran «très bientôt», dans deux ou trois semaines
Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States would "leave" Iran "very soon," in two or three weeks, saying that the end of the military operation would not depend on negotiations with Tehran or the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
"All I have to do is leave Iran, and we will do that very soon, and they will come crashing down," the US president asserted in response to a question about fuel prices, which have skyrocketed to $4 in the United States. He then mentioned, during a press briefing, a timeframe of "two, maybe three weeks."
The US president also indicated that whether or not an agreement was reached with Iran was "irrelevant," after saying on Monday that he "foresaw an agreement" with new Iranian leaders, whom he did not name. "We will be leaving very soon. And if France or any other country wants its oil or gas, they will go straight to the Strait of Hormuz (...) and they will manage on their own. I think it will actually be a very safe place, but we have nothing to do with it," he also said.
