On September 30th, a 16-year-old girl skipped school to meet up with two teenagers she had met on Snapchat. They met at the Cité des Sciences in Paris.
But the encounter quickly turned ugly. The two minors, aged 13 and 17, accused him of breaking a bracelet and stole his phone.
The two boys lead him into a box in the site's underground parking lot.
"Either we have sex, or I won't give you your phone," the ringleader threatened. He punched her in the face, then added, "I'm going to take out my phone, I'm going to film you, and you're going to say you consented."
Then the victim will suffer the horror. The older man forces her to perform fellatio on her knees, then an extremely painful anal penetration, all while filming the young girl so that she will give her "consent".
Then the two young boys ran off, without returning the phone.
On her way home, the victim asked a passerby to call the police.
Thanks to a meticulous investigation by the Juvenile Protection Unit, the two suspects were identified a month later. The two teenagers, already known to the police, were charged with rape.
The 17-year-old boy was placed in pre-trial detention, while the younger 13-year-old was placed in a closed educational center.
