The Dakar criminal court scheduled the case between Sen TV commentator Abdou Nguer and Azoura Fall, whose real name is Assane Guèye, for hearing on Thursday, May 21. However, the case could not be examined on its merits due to the absence of both parties. Consequently, the judges postponed the hearing until November 19, according to Les Échos.
Abdou Nguer is being prosecuted for public insults following a complaint filed by a Pastef activist, the daily newspaper reports. Arrested and questioned at the central police station in Dakar, he was released after his hearing.
