Affaire Madiambal : La réaction de Serigne Saliou Diagne après sa liberté provisoire
Following his provisional release with judicial supervision, the son of journalist Madiambal Diagne, Serigne Saliou Diagne, affirms that Madiambal "is sufficient to defend himself and he will do so well, as has always been the case," he assures in a message received by Seneweb on Monday, December 8, 2025.
According to him, history will decide, considering Madiambal Diagne's life and struggles. He believes, however, that his father is experiencing this ordeal with the sole regret of "causing collateral damage" and "unintentionally putting his loved ones through the ordeal."
Serigne Saliou Diagne also expressed his thoughts to Mouhamed Diagne, Ma Bintou Diaby Diagne and Serigne Omar Mbaye, of whom he says he is "convinced of their innocence", wishing them "a quick return to their families".
As a reminder, Serigne Saliou Diagne was placed under arrest warrant for complicity in the case involving his father Madiambal Diagne, founder of the Avenir Communication press group.
