Affaire Pape Cheikh Diallo et Cie : un «club» d’hommes de médias au cœur du scandale
Their custody was extended on Friday. Columnist Kader Dia (Sen TV), along with journalists Ousmane Kadior Cissé (7TV) and Pape Gaye Tall (Kewoulo), are expected to learn their fate this Monday. In its Saturday edition, Libération revealed that this extension aims to allow the investigation to continue, supported by "confessions deemed damning" and several "compromising pieces of evidence."
The investigation, opened in February, has revealed the existence of a "club" active within the Senegalese media, according to the same source. Searches and interviews conducted by the Keur Massar Research Brigade have gathered evidence revealing a structured network.
In total, 52 people have already been arrested in this case known as "Pape Cheikh Diallo and Co.", which involves serious offenses, including criminal association, unnatural acts, voluntary transmission of HIV, money laundering and drug trafficking.
