Affaire Pape Cheikh Diallo : Le face-à-face entre les agents du Port, Bamba Amar et Birahim Fall devant le juge d'instruction
The presiding judge of the first chamber at the Pikine-Guédiawaye court held a substantive hearing this Thursday in the case of an act against nature involving radio host Pape Cheikh Diallo. The defendants are two employees of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, Bamba Amar and Birahim Fall. Amar was arrested on April 28th, as part of a judicial investigation, following statements made by his colleague. Fall had named Amar to the investigating officers of the Keur Massar Research Brigade, identifying him as his partner. Both were brought before the investigating judge and remanded in custody. However, on May 7th, the judge held their substantive hearing, followed by a confrontation.
In an article, Seneweb announced the automatic release of Bamba Amar after his hearing. This news, which was relayed to us by one of his lawyers, was contradicted by the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office. Bamba Amar remains in detention.
