Audit de l'IGE : Pourquoi Cheikh Issa Sall a été convoqué par la DIC ce lundi
On the instructions of the financial prosecutor, the former director general of the Caisse des dépôts et consignations (CDC), Cheikh Issa Sall, was questioned yesterday, Monday, by investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC).
According to Seneweb, this investigation was initiated by the Financial Judicial Pool following the analysis of a report by the General State Inspectorate (IGE). The investigations specifically concern the use of the "car plan" within the CDC.
When questioned by investigators, Cheikh Issa Sall explained the circumstances surrounding a vehicle he had acquired through this scheme. He stated that he had made a personal contribution of 8 million FCFA towards the purchase. However, according to him, the vehicle was reclaimed by the new Director General of the CDC, Fadilou Keïta, as soon as he took office.
The mayor of Mbour also stated that he is still awaiting reimbursement of the 8 million CFA francs he initially invested. Following his hearing, Cheikh Issa Sall was released and allowed to return home.
