Complicité d’injures contre le directeur de Le Dantec : Le Dr Ousmane Cissé condamné avec sursis, il interjette appeld
The lower court, sitting in criminal matters, delivered its verdict on May 12 in the case between Ousmane Cissé and El Hadji Mansour Diop, respectively the former Director General of Public Health and the Director of Aristide Le Dantec Hospital. The two officials of the Pastef-Les Patriotes party had settled their dispute in court on March 10, 2026.
The main defendant, Pape Ibrahima Thiam, a jeweler by trade and a friend of Ousmane Cissé, was prosecuted for threats of violence, assault, and non-public insults. Ousmane Cissé, for his part, was prosecuted for complicity in these charges.
In its ruling, the court found the defendants guilty of the charges against them. Pape Ibrahima Thiam was sentenced to three months in prison and fined 50,000 FCFA. Dr. Ousmane Cissé received a three-month suspended sentence and a fine of 50,000 FCFA.
The court also accepted El Hadji Mansour Diop's civil claim and awarded him 2 million FCFA in damages. The two defendants were jointly and severally ordered to pay this sum, with immediate enforcement ordered by the judge.
The defendants were also ordered to pay costs, while the duration of imprisonment for debt was set at the maximum.
Dissatisfied with this decision, the former Director General of Public Health announced his intention to appeal; his complaint against El Hadji Mansour Diop is also being processed.
