Contentieux contre Awa Baldé : Le dossier renvoyé au 9 avril, Aziz Ndiaye réplique par une dénonciation calomnieuse
The case between businessman Aziz Ndiaye and socialite Awa Baldé was brought before the Dakar Criminal Court on February 26, 2026. Following the payment of the required deposit, the case was adjourned until April 9, 2026, for pleadings. The plaintiff, Awa Baldé, accuses Aziz Ndiaye of fraud in connection with a transaction involving a plot of land in Ngaparou, valued at 50 million CFA francs.
In her direct summons, she is claiming 475 million CFA francs in damages from Aziz Ndiaye. At the hearing on March 12, only Awa Baldé appeared in court, in the absence of Aziz Ndiaye. However, her lawyer, Souleymane Soumaré, filed a motion. Aziz Ndiaye also filed a direct summons against Awa Baldé for slanderous denunciation.
The businessman, active in the import and distribution of food products through his company Aziz Business Company (ABC), maintains that he was unjustly accused of land fraud and breach of trust by Awa Baldé.
According to the complaint letter, the two parties had maintained a relationship of trust for several years, which evolved into a business relationship, notably concerning a real estate transaction concluded in 2018 involving a 6,169 m² plot of land located in Ngaparou. Initially offered at 75 million CFA francs, the plot was ultimately sold for 50 million CFA francs, an amount that Aziz Ndiaye claims to have paid through several installments evidenced by checks and receipts.
However, several years after the transaction, Awa Baldé contested the deal and publicly accused the businessman of irregularities, notably through videos posted on TikTok. She also filed a complaint with the Financial Judicial Pool, alleging fraud and breach of trust involving 90.7 million CFA francs.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC), the financial prosecutor's office closed the case without further action due to insufficient evidence in December 2025.
Aziz Ndiaye is demanding 300 million CFA francs
Believing that these accusations have damaged his honor and reputation, Aziz Ndiaye is now suing Awa Baldé for slanderous denunciation, an offense stipulated and punishable under Article 362 of the Penal Code. He is seeking 300 million CFA francs in damages from the court and is also requesting that the judgment be published in several local newspapers at the defendant's expense.
Meanwhile, this procedure has been adjourned until March 26, 2026, for payment of the deposit, set at 50,000 CFA francs. The court will likely combine the two cases.
