DIC : Modou Mbacké Bara Dolly libre après son audition
Serigne Modou Mbacké Bara Dolly was released from the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) headquarters on Tuesday, where he had been summoned. The APR official in Touba remains at the disposal of the justice system, according to Seneweb sources. He was accompanied by his younger brother, Cheikh Abdou Mbacké Bara Dolly, and his lawyers, including El Hadj Diouf, Aboubacry Barro, and Oumar Youm.
To understand this summons, we must go back to the era of the Wade regime. "Between 2005 and 2006, I met a lady who invited me to her home in Berlin as a disciple and her marabout," he explains.
Two years later, "in 2008, she expressed to me her wish to come and invest in Senegal to complete the work on her medical clinic. She told me that some of her friends of foreign nationality wished to acquire five hectares intended for agriculture in Senegal."
Back in the country, the woman announced that each party would receive a commission on the purchase of the fields. "After a visit to the fields in Fouta, the buyers put 50,000 euros on the table. The woman had a commission of 13,000 euros and I received the same amount as a commission," he explains.
But the project was short-lived. "The buyers found that the river waters had flooded the fields and they abandoned the project before returning to Germany."
That's when the dispute arose. "A few days later, the lady asked me to return my commission. I refused to give her the money in the absence of the buyers," he claims.
The woman then turned to the Mouride Caliph General at the time. “She went to Serigne El Hadj Bara Mbacké Falilou to vilify me. The Caliph later contacted me to report what the woman had said. I gave my version of events.” But “after returning to Dakar, she filed a complaint against me.”
The rest was brutal. "The DIC officers found me in a local restaurant and took me into their vehicle before putting me straight in jail. After recognizing me, the officers apologized."
The matter was finally settled with a full refund. "I made a commitment to repay the money, estimated at a total of 8 million CFA francs. Everything was returned. After 18 years, the case was reopened," he said.
Serigne Modou Mbacké Bara Dolly does not hide his bitterness at this new summons, which he perceives as an attempt to destabilize him.
