Escroquerie à Dalifort : le gendarme et le boutiquier
Gendarme M. Fall, 28, was sentenced to two months in prison and ordered to pay a fine of 50,000 CFA francs. According to L'Observateur, the incident took place on Thursday, October 9, in Dalifort. While on leave, the accused appeared in uniform at the shop of young Guinean trader T. Diallo (22). Posing as a hygiene control officer, he accused the shopkeeper of preparing an omelet in the shop, claiming that this constituted an offense. He demanded 50,000 CFA francs to "hush up the affair," a sum that the trader handed over, fearing punishment.
The next day, Friday, October 10, Mr. Fall returned and accused the shopkeeper of giving him counterfeit bills, this time demanding an additional 250,000 CFA francs. Realizing it was a scam, the shopkeeper alerted the neighborhood.
The angry crowd chases the fake controller, who is finally rescued and arrested by a gendarmerie patrol.
During the investigation, Mr. Fall partially denied the facts, claiming that the money was "voluntarily offered to him." However, his contradictory statements and his illegal use of his uniform while on leave led to his indictment for extortion and fraud.
At the Pikine-Guédiawaye flagrante delicto court, the prosecutor, quoted by the same source, denounced an attack on the image of the gendarmerie. After deliberation, the court acquitted Mr. Fall of the crime of extortion, but found him guilty of fraud, concludes the daily newspaper of the Future Media Group.

Certains agents (pas tous) de la circulation collent des infractions aux chauffeurs uniquement pour leur soutirer de l'argent. Il y a trop d'abus de pouvoir.
