[EXCLUSIF] Arrêtée pour vol : Mame Dior de la série "Bété Bété" déférée devant le procureur Saliou Dicko
Bigué Diop, better known to the public as Mame Dior in the television series "Bété Bété," has been arrested. According to exclusive information from Seneweb, the actress was brought before Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, on Thursday morning on charges of theft.
A suspected theft during the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco
It all began during a trip to Morocco, where Bigué Diop had gone to attend the Africa Cup of Nations. She allegedly took advantage of this trip to steal an estimated sum of over 500,000 CFA francs belonging to Fatima Goumbala, a woman living in Canada.
The affair became public, exposing the actress to insulting comments on social media. Feeling offended, Mame Dior filed a complaint for online defamation. Subsequently, Déguène Ndiaye was arrested for defamation by officers of the territorial brigade of the Industrial Free Zone.
Following Fatima Goumbala's complaint, Bigué Diop was also arrested and charged with theft. She reportedly admitted to taking the money from the complainant's room in Morocco.
On Thursday, the two women were brought back before the prosecutor's office.
