Lettre au Président : Bocar Samba Dièye traîne la CBAO devant Diomaye Faye
The businessman sent a letter to the head of state. He requested a meeting to share his "extensive experience" in import-export and to "explain the injustice [he] is suffering at the hands of CBAO." Excerpt.
"Your Excellency, Mr. President of the Republic, I am writing to request an audience with you in your capacity as President of the Republic. I am a distinguished Senegalese citizen who has been involved in import-export for over fifty (50) years and who has rendered invaluable service to my country selflessly, whenever needed, primarily to supply the Senegalese market with rice at affordable prices, as requested by successive governments. This requested audience would allow me to share with you my extensive experience, which will undoubtedly be useful to you given your noble ambitions for our country. It would also allow me to explain the injustice I have been suffering for over a decade at the hands of CBAO, despite a contradictory expert assessment ordered by the Dakar Court of Appeal. This assessment demonstrated that CBAO owes me money and that it wrongfully appropriated my three buildings, valued at over 4 billion [CFA francs]."
