Louga: Mandat de dépôt pour 8 chauffeurs grévistes, les lourds chefs d'inculpation tombent

The eight striking drivers, who were preventing their non-striking colleagues from transporting passengers to Dakar, were arrested last Tuesday and brought before the Louga prosecutor's office yesterday, then remanded in custody. They are being prosecuted for disturbing public order, participating in an unauthorized demonstration, obstructing the free movement of people, destroying property, and endangering others.

As a reminder, these strikers were arrested at the Dahra exit. They allegedly smashed the windshield of a "War Gaïndé" vehicle carrying passengers to Dakar.

This act triggered an immediate response from the camp of non-striking drivers, ready to clash with the protesters.

Alerted, the gendarmes from the Dahra brigade immediately went to the scene to arrest them.
