According to a statement from the prosecutor's office, an investigation is underway and has involved several actions, including interviews, a site visit, and an autopsy. "At this stage, the available evidence does not corroborate the rumors of physical violence inflicted on the victim," said Public Prosecutor Ibrahima Ndoye.
Pending the final conclusions of the investigation, he calls for restraint and respect for the normal course of justice.
