Plainte contre Me Moussa Diop : Colonel Abdourahim Kébé entendu
The legal battle between Abdourahim Kébé and Moussa Diop has entered a new phase. In its edition of Tuesday, March 10, L'Observateur reports that the former army officer was questioned by investigators from the Dakar Urban Security (SU) unit, following his complaint of slander and defamation.
As a reminder, Colonel Abdourahim Kébé, now an influential member of PASTEF, had announced his intention to take the lawyer to court following statements deemed particularly serious. As reported by the daily newspaper of the Futurs Médias Group, Moussa Diop had publicly stated that the officer had been convicted several years ago for "acts against nature."
In a post on his social media accounts, the Pastef leader categorically rejected these allegations, stating that the lawyer was claiming he had been sentenced to "15 months in prison in 1999 by the Dakar court." Believing these remarks seriously damage his honor and reputation, the colonel filed a complaint for public insult, defamation, and spreading false information.
Far from toning down his initial remarks made on TFM, the same source indicates, Moussa Diop chose to double down during his appearance on the program "Encore plus" on 2STV. Claiming to possess proof of his accusations, the lawyer publicly displayed several documents as well as a photograph showing Colonel Kébé in the company of Ousmane Sonko, at a time when the latter was still in the opposition.
These elements, presented as incriminating evidence by Mr. Diop, prompted a reaction from the former officer and led to his questioning at the Urban Security division. Following this exchange with investigators, the case file was forwarded to the prosecutor's office, and the alleged facts were recorded in an official report.
Beyond the case of Colonel Kébé, Moussa Diop also hardened his tone towards the Prime Minister. When questioned about the sex scandal that has been rocking Senegal for several weeks, the lawyer asserted that the head of government had "many homosexual friends" and was, in his opinion, trying to "cover up the affair."
