Plainte de Babacar Fall pour diffamation : Serigne Saliou Gueye de Yoor Yoor auditionné à la DSC
The editor of the daily newspaper Yoor Yoor, Serigne Saliou Gueye, was questioned this Friday by the Special Cybersecurity Division (DSC). This questioning follows a complaint filed by Babacar Fall, a journalist with Groupe Futurs Médias (GFM), who accuses him of defamation.
The events date back to Tuesday, October 28, 2025. On that day, Babacar Fall was arrested by officers of the Urban Security Division after giving an interview to journalist Madiambal Diagne, who was declared a fugitive. He spent the entire day at the central police station in Dakar before being released in the late afternoon.
However, prior to this release, a post attributed to Serigne Saliou Gueye and published on the Facebook page of the newspaper Yoor Yoor claimed that the GFM journalist had "suffered a fit", had been "hospitalized" and would only be released for "medical reasons".
Babacar Fall considers these allegations defamatory and damaging to his honor and professional reputation. It is in this context that he has filed a complaint with the Special Cybersecurity Division, through his lawyers, Ousmane Thiam and Alioune Badara Fall.
Following his hearing, Serigne Saliou Gueye returned home a free man.
