Procès en appel des 18 supporters sénégalais : La Cour s’est retirée, le délibéré en attente (Maroc)
The Rabat Court of Appeal has not yet delivered its verdict in the case of the 18 Senegalese supporters detained in Morocco since the Africa Cup of Nations final.
Their lawyer, Patrice Kabou, indicated that the court has currently retired. "Awaiting the verdict," he specified. Rumors of a postponement have been circulating for the past few hours.
As a reminder, during Monday's hearing, the Rabat prosecutor's office requested that the sentences be increased.
Indeed, our 18 fellow citizens had been sentenced on February 19 in the first instance to prison terms ranging from three months to one year.
The prosecution has asked the judge to increase these sentences to up to two years in prison. The ball is now in the judge's court, who has not yet deliberated.
