Propos controversés sur Erdogan et Sonko : ce que Doudou Coulibaly a dit aux enquêteurs
Journalist Doudou Coulibaly has been remanded in custody for insulting a foreign head of state, insulting a person exercising the prerogatives of the head of state, and insulting a person exercising the prerogatives of the head of state. He is accused of making controversial remarks ("bandit, bandit mo koy dalal") in connection with a photo showing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.
Speaking to investigators from the Special Cybersecurity Division (DSC), Coulibaly, quoted by Libération, stated that he was not addressing anyone in particular and refused to retract his remarks. However, he clarified that he would never call Erdogan or Sonko bandits, out of respect for the institutions.
The journalist also reported suffering from diabetes, heart and kidney disease.
